Ungernia sewerzowii is a perennial plant growing from an elongate-oblong bulb around 50 - 70mm in diameter; it produces a fountain of 4 - 6 leaves, each around 20cm long, and a flowering stem[].
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine and source of a glue.
