Apium annuum is found mainly near coastal areas of southern Australia from Victoria to western Western Australia. It should succeed outdoors as a summer annual in the warmer parts of the temperate zone.

Edible Uses

The leaves are likely to be used in the same way as Apium prostratum. These uses are:-

Propagation

Seed - sow spring in a greenhouse. Germination can take a month or longer. When large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer.
